Daisie Sitlani is a stage director, pianist, and composer, and a graduate of the Guildhall School of Music & Drama, where she completed her Artist Masters under Caroline Palmer and Laura Roberts, funded by The Yorkshire Ladies’ Council of Education and a private donor. She previously studied Music at Newcastle University, graduating with First Class Honours.​
Sitlani is Artistic Director of Glass Light Theatre, an emerging arts charity developing cross-border opera projects. Recent highlights include a full-scale production of La Cenerentola planned for Saint-Paul-de-Vence in August 2026, a full-scale production of Così fan tutte at Network Theatre (London) in April 2026, and staged recitals and mini-opera programmes at private members’ clubs and formal dinner events, including Mosimann’s Club in March 2026. Previous projects include staging In This House (Opera Scenes) in London, Newcastle, and Saint-Paul-de-Vence.

As a freelance director, her recent work includes Le Nozze di Figaro (2025), Little Women (2025), A Night at the Opera (2024), Sweeney Todd (2024), and To Daffodils (2023). She assisted on two sets of opera scenes and a full production at Guildhall (2024–25), will be assisting a further set of scenes at Guildhall in February 2026, and has worked alongside directors John Ramster, Victoria Newlyn and Ashley Dean.​
Sitlani will be Assistant Director on the Collaborator Strand of British Youth Opera’s Summer Programme and will complete an observership with Opera Holland Park in April.

As a pianist, she has recently been working under Jon Aspital at Disney’s The Lion King on the West End from November 2025 until mid-December 2025, and will return from February 2026 until May 2026. She has performed at Wigmore Hall, the Royal Festival Hall, Windsor Castle, The National Gallery, Leighton House, and 1901 Arts Club, and has worked with leading artists including Julius Drake, Iain Burnside, Graham Johnson, Eugene Asti, and Gordon Back. She won second prize in the Jubilee Accompanists’ Competition, has accompanied finalists in international competitions, and appeared at the LiedTheWay programme in Florence and the Villa Margarita Music Festival in Spain. She was also pianist and assistant director at Cratoule Summer School and has multiple recitals planned for the 2026 season.
Glass Light
Glass Light Theatre is a new London-based platform dedicated to supporting emerging artists at the threshold between conservatoire training and professional performance.
Founded by director and producer Daisie Sitlani, the company produces opera, theatre, staged recitals, and concept-driven vocal work — with a commitment to offering paid, artist-led opportunities in an increasingly competitive industry.
Glass Light aims to create bold, thoughtful productions that challenge form and foster growth, while bridging the gap between education and the professional stage.
The company is currently in its early stages and will be applying for charitable status in the coming months.
